A Seasonal Take On 'Slaw Works Fantastically In This Festive Ham Wrap
Around Christmas, there is often a lovely bit of ham lying around, crying out to be put in a sandwich. If you are looking to keep the carbs down and beat the bloat, why not make it with Lo-Dough?
The real twist here is the seasonal coleslaw made using raw sprouts. When sliced finely enough (a mandolin works best), sprouts are delicious and make a great replacement for the cabbage you would normally find in coleslaw. Additionally, a few pomegranate seeds stirred through give it pleasing little bursts of sweet/sour flavour. The whole thing is balanced against traditional, eye-wateringly hot English mustard.
For the slaw, you'll need around ten raw sprouts, half a red onion and the seeds from half a pomegranate and a good couple of spoons of mayo.
Ingredients
- 1 piece of
Lo-Dough - 70g of sliced ham
- 70g coleslaw of Christmas slaw (finely sliced red onion, sprouts, pomegranate seeds lightly bound in mayo)
