An Incredibly Low-Carb Sloppy Joe PIzza Made With Lo-Dough

That's not to mention low-calorie and high-fibre too. Another great example of Lo-Dough giving you the key to healthier versions of your favourite pizzas.

A Sloppy Joe was originally a sandwich recipe that was first recorded around the start of the 20th century. As a mince and tomato sauce mix, it's in effect a paired down bolognese sauce, served on a bun. Being meat and sauce, pizza soon came calling and the pairing was perfect - and being pizza, Lo-Dough has now come calling too.

Low-Carb Diet Tips

To keep our recipe super low carb, we kept the onion out of the sauce recipe and just used a simple mince, garlic, pepper and passata combination. The result was delicious - oozy, savoury and most of all... sloppy. You could always add mushrooms or more peppers to up the vegetable content.

We also recommend cooking a lot of the mince mix - a whole pack of mince, a whole pepper, 2 or 3 cloves of garlic - it can be kept in the fridge for a few days or frozen and would be great as the base for chilli con carne, stuffed peppers, sandwiches, further pizzas, etc.

Enjoy a low-carb, low-calorie high fibre version of this pizza-lovers favourite today!
